2 Timothy 2:6 says, "The husbandman the laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits."

This verse has two specific meanings: literal and metaphorical. The former is the Capitalist principle that those who work should have the first rights to the fruits of their labors. Put another way, you must be willing to work hard in order to receive the benefits of that work. The latter, more important meaning is that if we wish to receive the benefits of God's work, we must be willing to devote our entire lives to it with no reservations.

I intend to highlight both meanings of this verse through this blog, by writing about both my individual Bible studies and my musings on politics.
